I sanded this piece down to the original wood because I decided to paint “1958” using Sweet Pickins Milk Paint. Once sanded, I painted the entire piece with SPMP in Sunflower followed by Bleu Bohemian. Now, I was going to stop there but nope!! After sanding back a few spots the yellow and blue were just so exquisite I thought if I added a third color the first two would be so funky and fun. I then painted the piece with Annie Sloan Chalk Paint in Emperor’s Silk. Parts of the table and spindles are distressed creating a naturally worn look. The entire piece is sealed with a AS Clear Wax. I was so very fortunate and grateful to stumble onto this piece. I’m at Home Depot all the time and while standing in line started up a conversation about Swirl with a very nice gentleman. Seven months later this individual called me and asked me if I was interested and boy was I!!!!! Truly a vintage and timeless piece.
